Bicycles

Sanday's quiet roads and easy geography make it the ideal location for a cycling holiday. Bicycles may be hired from Ayres Rock, or you can bring your own.

Bicycle Collection Service

A minibus bus service operates from Loth Ferry Terminal, meeting each ferry and taking passengers to their destinations. The bus cannot carry bicycles but we can arrange to collect your bicycle (and baggage, if necessary) from Loth for you. We do charge a small fee, and ask that you pre-arrange this service with us. Taxi Service

Guests wishing to dine out may take advantage of our reasonably priced Taxi service to and from the village pub 01857 600410.

Sanday Bus

Once on Sanday there is a local bus service which meets every ferry sailing during the summer, and runs an on-demand service to the ferry sailings in the winter A community bus service operates every Tuesday allowing passengers to be picked up from their door and taken to the shops, bank, etc. This service will also provide transport to allow a limited number of people the opportunity to arrange appointments at the Sanday Surgery. There is the option for passengers to embark and disembark at various points around the island, therefore offering a very flexible service to visit friends and places of interest etc. Fares are very competitive, and national concession cards can be used.
